BMW India Appoints Former Kia Executive as President and CEO

BMW Group India has appointed Harddeep Singh Brar, a former Kia executive, as its new President and CEO, effective September 1, 2025. Brar succeeds Vikram Pawah, who will be taking on a new role as CEO of BMW Group Australia and New Zealand.

BMW Group India announced a change in top management with the appointment of ex-Kia India executive Harddeep Singh Brar as its President and Chief Executive Officer, effective September 1, 2025. Brar will succeed Vikram Pawah, who is set to take charge as the CEO of BMW Group Australia and New Zealand. Commenting on the appointment, BMW Group Senior Vice President, Region Asia-Pacific, Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa, Jean-Philippe Parain, highlighted the significance of India as a key market for the company. Brar's extensive experience and deep understanding of the Indian automotive industry are expected to enhance BMW Group's operations in the country. Brar brings over 30 years of experience in the Indian automotive sector, having served in various senior management positions. He most recently held the position of Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Kia India.
