A 12-foot-tall bronze statue called 'Grounded in the Stars' in Time Square has become the subject of online mockery as netizens compare it to New York Attorney General Letitia James. The sculpture, located at Broadway and 46th Street, was created by London-based figurative artist Thomas J. Price. The official Time Square website describes Time Square as an iconic symbol of convergence and unity, bringing people from all walks of life together.
On June 17, the statue will be available for public display. Presented by Time Square Arts, the installation subtly references Michelangelo's David while capturing ordinary characteristics through the woman's posture, expression, and attire.
