India Strikes Back: Operation Sindoor

In response to the barbaric terrorist attack that claimed the lives of 26 people in Pahalgam, Kashmir, India launched Operation Sindoor in the early hours of Wednesday. The operation targeted nine sites in Pakistan and PoK that reportedly housed terrorist camps, with the aim of dismantling the terrorist infrastructure and disabling potential threats to India. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri described the actions as measured, non-escalatory, and responsible, focused on pre-empting further terrorist actions.

Strong and Responsible Response

The Indian armed forces' response was strong, responsible, and intended to pre-empt future terrorist activities across the border. The targets chosen did not include Pakistan's core military interests or civilian areas, demonstrating India's focused approach in its retaliation.

Pakistan's Response

Initially insensitive to the Pahalgam terror incident, Islamabad later offered to participate in a neutral and transparent third-party probe. However, Pakistan has also threatened to escalate the situation, which would be unwise and counterproductive.

This comprehensive response by India showcases its commitment to countering terrorism effectively and responsibly.
