Indian Navy Chief Honors Commodore Kartik Srimal with Yudh Seva Medal for Exceptional Service
Indian Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi confers the Yudh Seva Medal on Commodore Kartik Srimal for his outstanding professional conduct as the Fleet Operations Officer during Operation Sankalp.

In a recent ceremony at the newly constructed Nausena Bhawan in New Delhi, Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi awarded the Yudh Seva Medal to Commodore Kartik Srimal for his exceptional leadership and planning skills during Operation Sankalp's fleet operations. Operation Sankalp, which began in December 2023, involved various anti-piracy and anti-terrorism operations in the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, North Arabian Sea, and the Sea off Somalia's East Coast.
Commodore Srimal was lauded for his pragmatic, bold, and decisive planning during the challenging maritime operations. He took charge as the Fleet Operations Officer of the Western Fleet on December 18, 2023. The ceremony also saw the conferral of several other prestigious medals to naval personnel who demonstrated exemplary leadership and professional accomplishments.
