Mamata Banerjee Calls for Unity Against Terrorism
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee emphasized the importance of unity in the fight against terrorism. She stated that everyone should come together in the war on terror, with no differences among people. Her remarks came after an urgent meeting called by Union Home Minister Amit Shah for Chief Ministers, Chief Secretaries, and DGPs of states sharing borders with Pakistan and Nepal. The meeting was organized in response to strikes carried out by the Indian Armed Forces on terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Banerjee urged unity, stating, "At this hour, we all should come together and fight the battle against terrorism, with no differences among us." She made these remarks at the State Secretariat and also urged media houses to report facts accurately and prevent the spread of misinformation.
