Former FBI official Frank Figliuzzi is criticized by FBI spokesman Ben Williamson for spreading false allegations about Director Kash Patel frequenting nightclubs over headquarters.

In a recent interview, former FBI official Frank Figliuzzi made unfounded claims about Director Kash Patel's activities, suggesting that he spends more time at nightclubs than at FBI headquarters. The FBI's spokesman, Ben Williamson, quickly refuted these claims, highlighting that Figliuzzi's statements were fabricated and not verified by any credible sources. Figliuzzi's allegations included Patel being more visible at nightclubs and reducing the frequency of briefings.

Williamson clarified that Patel has been diligently working as the agency's director for over 70 days and challenged Figliuzzi's credibility by labeling his claims as bogus. He also pointed out that Patel divides his time between Washington, D.C., and Las Vegas, primarily working from home in the latter city.

Reacting to Figliuzzi's remarks, supporters of Patel defended his integrity, asserting that he is dedicated to his job and not engaged in frivolous activities as suggested. They criticized Figliuzzi's assertions as an attempt to undermine Patel's leadership at the FBI.

The controversy stems from Figliuzzi's appearance on a morning talk show where he made baseless claims about Patel's whereabouts, which were subsequently corrected on air. The FBI has not endorsed any of Figliuzzi's accusations, emphasizing the importance of verifying such serious allegations before public dissemination.

Given Patel's existing scrutiny for his use of FBI aircraft for personal travel, the latest claims have prompted further investigations by government authorities. The US Government Accountability Office has been called upon to examine Patel's official travel using government resources.
