Indian Army's Response to Ceasefire Violation
The Indian Army gave a befitting reply to Pakistan's ceasefire violation on the night of 29-30 April 2025. Pakistan army posts initiated unprovoked small-arms fire across the Line of Control opposite the Naushera, Sunderbani, and Akhnoor sectors in Jammu & Kashmir. In response, Indian Army troops responded swiftly and proportionately, as stated in a released statement.
The border tensions between the two nuclear-armed neighbors have been on the rise following the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, which resulted in the death of 26 people and injuries to several others.
