Union Home Minister Amit Shah has ordered all bordering states with Pakistan and Nepal to ensure strict monitoring of anti-national propaganda on social and other media platforms. During a meeting with Chief Ministers, DGP's, and Chief Secretaries of these states, Shah emphasized the need for prompt action against violators and arrangements for smooth operation of hospitals, fire brigade, and uninterrupted supply of essential goods.
Shah instructed the states to maintain the availability of essential goods and services, keep relief and rescue forces on alert, and ensure coordination between local administration, army, and paramilitary forces. Efforts should be made to involve citizens and non-governmental organizations in public participation and awareness campaigns.
The meeting, attended via video conferencing by Lieutenant Governors of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Chief Ministers of several states, and senior officials from the Home Ministry, focused on enhancing vigilance against anti-national propaganda and strengthening security at vulnerable points.
