Ezra Levin, Indivisible Co-Executive Director, criticized Trump's parade plans as authoritarian and urged people to stand up against such displays of power. The purpose of the protests is to reject authoritarianism and demonstrate the distribution of real power across the nation.

US Army Confirms Parade Preparations

The US Army confirmed preparations for the parade on June 14 to celebrate its 250th birthday and Trump's 79th. The parade is expected to feature 150 vehicles, 50 aircraft, and 6,600 soldiers, along with military demonstrations, musical performances, and a fitness competition. Defense officials indicated that the celebration could cost up to $45 million.

Trump's Birthday Plans Criticized

Representative Steve Cohen criticized the elaborate birthday plans as a waste of money and called on the public to reject the extravagant display. He labeled it as an unprecedented waste to please a self-absorbed con man.
