The International Space Station, carrying Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla as part of the Axiom-4 mission, will fly over India repeatedly in the next few days. Last Thursday, Shukla set a record for the longest stay in space by an Indian astronaut, surpassing his mentor Rakesh Sharma. Shukla is on a 14-day mission to the International Space Station as part of a joint ISRO-NASA project. To see ISS from India, you can use NASA's Spot the Station and ISS Detector apps to track its current location and upcoming sightings. According to NASA's Spot the Station app, ISS will be visible from India at specific times on different dates in July.
In a recent interaction from space, Shukla described India as 'very big and grand' from his view in space. He expressed awe at the grandeur of India when seen from the ISS. Shukla's mission on the ISS will conclude with a final visible pass over India on July 12.
