Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that his country will retaliate after Indian armed forces dismantled nine terror camps in Pakistan and PoK under ‘Operation Sindoor’. Addressing the nation after India's precise strike on key terror headquarters associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), and Hizbul Mujahideen, Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that Pakistan will seek revenge. He assured his armed forces are capable of retaliation and Pakistan will take this war to the end.
India Hits Pakistani Terror Camps Under Operation Sindoor
Indian armed forces launched a high-precision military offensive - 'Operation Sindoor' - targeting nine key terror bases in Pakistan and PoK. The strikes were conducted between 1.05 am and 1.30 am on May 7, resulting in the deaths of 26 at terror targets in Pakistan. Pakistan described the strikes as 'unprovoked' and an 'unlawful act of war.'
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired a National Security Council meeting to discuss the situation, and Pakistan has reserved the right to respond in self-defense.
Tensions Escalate Between India and Pakistan
Following the strike, Pakistan announced a 48-hour closure of its airspace for all air traffic. The situation remains tense as both countries prepare for potential further actions.
