Trump Administration Delays 10% Tariff on BRICS Nations

The Trump administration has announced that they will not immediately impose a new 10% tariff on members of the BRICS bloc of developing nations. However, President Donald Trump stated that the US will proceed with the tariff if individual countries take so-called 'anti-American' policy actions.

A source familiar with the matter mentioned that a line is being drawn, and if policy decisions are made that are deemed anti-American, the tariff will be charged. President Trump's announcement, made late on Sunday, came as India, Indonesia, and other BRICS countries were negotiating last-minute trade deals ahead of a July 9 deadline.
